As you know, our Annual General Meeting was held on Monday night.

We’re grateful to those many members, more than sixty, who made the effort to attend.

We were pleased to be joined by Mary Darwell, CEO of the Trust who addressed and took questions on a range of matters including 10 Terminal, Middle Head Oval and a Visitors Centre.  We appreciate her engagement and candour.

Dear Members and Supporters

The 2016/17 Annual General meeting of the Headland Preservation Group Inc. will be held at the Mosman Civic Centre on Monday 20 November. The formal part of the meeting will:

Confirm the minutes from the prior AGM on 10 November 2016.
Receive and approve the President’s Report and the Audited 2016/17 financial statements.
Elect Office Bearers and Management Committee members for the next 12 months.

Interpretation Strategy – deadline for comment extended

A few items to update you on and also recap on after our Member Update of two weeks ago.

Headland Park Interpretation Strategy – deadline for comment extended

Following an approach by HPG the Trust has agreed to extend the deadline for responses to the Harbour Trust’s draft Interpretation Strategy for Headland Park until Monday 16th October. The draft Strategy is available on the Harbour Trust website –  see Link Interpretation Strategy.

We encourage you to make your comments known. HPG will be making a formal submission.

The Headland Preservation Group (HPG) continues to work behind the scenes to protect and enhance Headland Park (the area that integrates Georges Heights, Middle Head and Chowder Bay) and its cultural, military and environmental heritage. We are working co-operatively with the Trust to achieve the very best outcome for the whole of Headland Park – this unique headland willed to all Australians both present and future as a Federation gift.
